A beautiful and large pair of the Goliath Beetle - Goliathus albosignatus kirkianus, from Tanzania 2001.
Male is 60mm body length which is a great size for this species.
Uniquely among Goliathus, this species only develops within the dung latrines of Hyrax species in the wild. They are smaller than other members of the Goliathus genus, longer limbed, faster, and have horizontal, tiger-like markings.
Not easily obtained in collections now at good sizes and with nice markings.
