Preserved and framed large male specimen of Chalcosoma chiron, one of the Atlas Beetles.
This is an old specimen and I had previously used it as art reference but now it's time for him to look his best and find a new home!
A large example of this magnificent species, showing strong metallic green on the elytra. The specimen is just over 106mm body size. Extremely glossy and enlarged horns separate major males like this from the normal sized ones more commonly seen.
framed with glass front and hanging fixture on the back. Specimens should not be displayed in direct sunlight.
