This is the exuvia or shed skin from a Giant Thorny Devil stick insect, Eurycantha horrida. Male
This is the final moult before the insect reached it's adult stage, often these moults are eaten by the stick insects but this one was discarded and is intact. A fascinating specimen as you can see inside and out of the exuvia.
This was from my own colony of captive bred individuals, Eurycantha horrida originate from Papua New Guinea.
Framed in black frame with glass front and hanging fixture on the back.
