Bullet Ant, Paraponera clavata, Japanese fully posable figure (And other ants!) made by Bandai
Bullet Ant, Paraponera clavata, Japanese fully posable figure (And other ants!) made by Bandai
The first anatomically accurate figure of a Bullet Ant!
Made by Bandai Japan as part of their Ikimono encyclopedia range, these figures are easy to put together, and have full articulation.
please note, the instruction paper is in Japanese only, but assembly is quite self explanatory anyway, as each leg has a small 'R' or 'L' and a number so that they can be matched with the sockets, and no glue required.
CT scans of real specimens were used to sculpt these figures.
Only sold in Japan, this range is difficult to get elsewhere for a decent price.
Perfect desk buddy for the Myrmecologist.
Around 15cm long
Recommended age on packaging is 15+
There are small fiddly parts, and delicate joints.
Figure will come unopened in the packaging as shown in the unassembled photo. One figure supplied
also available:
-Camponotus japonicus (Japanese black carpenter ant)
-Camponotus obscuripes (Japanese red carpenter ant)
These were more difficult figures to get hold of!
I cannot send these items to Germany or Austria, unfortunately, as with other Etsy sellers, all parcels to those countries are being returned, even with customs labelled filled out.
